Trade Unions which originated in Great Britain became popular in many countries during the Industrial Revolution beginning around the year 1760. Trade Unions are employees who organize to improve the conditions of their employment.
Circa 1890 Trade Unions in America gathered and created Labor Day ‘to honor and recognize the American labor movement and the works and contributions of laborers to the development and achievements of the United States’ [Wikipedia, ‘Labor Day’].
